OGMPWB announces new Hajj payment deadline date

The National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) has extended the payment deadline for 2024 holy pilgrimage to mecca and medinnah to January 31st, 2024, as against the earlier date of December 31st, 2023

The Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Dauda Salau disclosed this in a meeting with staffs of the Board, explaining that the move was in response to pleas from the religious leaders, and other stakeholders in the hajj operations, to give room for the intending pilgrims who have not completed their hajj deposits or are yet to make payment to be able to do so within the new deadline.

The MPWB boss urged the intending pilgrims who have made deposits to fast-track their balance, as the State government intensify efforts to get Muslims and intending pilgrims across the state informed about the extension of payment deadline for 2024 holy pilgrimage to mecca and medinnah.

“We are calling on intending pilgrims who have made hajj deposits to come and balance up and those who are still wishing to perform this holy pilgrimage with the Ogun State government to take this opportunity and quickly obtain their hajj forms before the closing Date.” He said

He commended the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON) for listening to the pleas of the concerns stakeholders and also promised the intending pilgrims a seemless hajj operations
