A prominent aspirant who recently declared his interest to contest the 2023 House of Representatives in Ogun East area of Ogun state, Hon Adebayo Adebola Adekoya has vouched to aid rapid development of the axis if given the party ticket ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Hon Adekoya, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress is vying for the Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside federal constituency on the platform of the ruling party in the country.
The top aspirant, who had once served as a Councillor, Secretary to the local government and eventually the Council Chairman of Ijebu North respectively explained that he has a vast experience in turning around events for good at the grassroots level, widely connected, a loyal party man, factors which he said would put him ahead of many other people jostling for the position.
Meanwhile, Hon Adekoya has extended his grassroots consultation to APC leaders and other party stakeholders in the three local governments in the constituency area.
Speaking to journalists yesterday at his campaign office in Ijebu Igbo, the headquarters of Ijebu North LG, Hon Adekoya said he had once again toured the constituency area to intimate the party elders and leaders, excos, stakeholders and party faithful on my ambition to represent them in the next general elections.
“I have been to Ijebu Waterside, Ijebu East and my own LG area Ijebu North to engage our leaders in a robust discussion on why I am the best to entrust with the party ticket rather than foreigners. I can reliably tell you that our discussion was frank and down-to-earth. I have gone to the three local governments to seek for their votes and support. They have equally promised to be there for me, and even showered encomiums and prayers on me. We are definitely hoping for the best as we continue to discuss with those who matters in this regard”, Hon Adekoya concluded.
