FRSC Officers’ wives donate provisions to accident victims in Abeokuta

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Officers’ Wives Association (ROSOWA) Ogun Chapter, on Saturday donated provisions to accident victims at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC)Idi Aba, Abeokuta.

The association’s Chairperson,Mrs Farida Ahmed told newsmen that said the gesture was part of activities to mark this year’s World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

Ahmed added that the gesture was meant to support the victims as well as wish them quick recovery.

“I use this opportunity to address the general public that we should all try and abide by the rules and regulations of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) so as to avoid being involved in this kind of accident,” She said.

The medical centre’s Theatre Perioperative Nurse, Mrs Adenike Oworo expressed appreciation to the members of ROSOWA for their kind gesture.

Oworo also cautioned motorists against taking substances that could blur their vision while driving.

The Deputy State Coordinator, Special Marshall in the state, Mr Balogun Taiwo listed factors that could lead to road crashes to include human factors, mechanical factors and weather.

Taiwo advised motorists to be mindful of how they use the roads especially during the current ember months.
