Sallah : Ogun clerics felicitate Muslims, urge Nigerian leaders to fulfill promises

The Ogun State League Of Imams and Alfas, and the Grand Chief Imams of Egbaland, Ijebuland and Remoland have felicitated with Muslims in celebrating Eid – El – Adha, as they urged political leaders to fulfill all their promises.

The President of the state League of Imams and Alfas president, Shaykh Sikirullahi Babalola said this in a statement on Wednesday.

According to him, it is essential for Muslims to fulfill their promises urging them to fear Allah in the discharge of the responsibilities they were elected for.

He stated, “as new administrations had just been inaugurate across the country, political leaders and politicians are urged to fear Allah in the discharge of the responsibilities they were elected for. They should seek urgent solutions to excruciating poverty, ravaging insecurity, economic rigours, education anomalies , infrastructural decays and other menace that is plaguing our dear nation.

“Nigerians are no doubt resilient and hardworking; they only require committed and sincere leaders to paddle the canoe of the country to greatness. The sacrifice of the citizens should be compensated with projects and policies that would alleviate the suffering of the people to reflect the abundant resources the country is blessed with.”

He also urged families to stay united, asking them to ensure that they produce *individuals that promote their family’s integrity as they eschew criminality and all forms of indecencies.”

In the same vein, he urged every citizens of the country to play their roles in nation building.

“Once again, we congratulate all Muslims and every Nigerian on this year’s Ileya festival. May Allah accept our sacrifices and worship during the period and grant us good health and long live to witness numerous festivals in prosperity and affluence,” he added.
