The Rotary Club of Ibara GRA Abeokuta has unveiled Rotarian Monayajo Adeola, as third president of the international organisation.
Rotarian Adeola was unveiled at a four in one elaborate event which had project launching,awards,induction and prestigious galore with the theme coined to mark 2023 world mental health day
Dr Majekodunmi who was the guest lecturer while speaking on the events theme Mental Health : Our Universal Human Right, creating hope in the world maintained that mental health was a basic human right for all as one in eight people globally are living with this condition, which can impact their physical health, their well-being, how they connect with others, and their livelihoods.
The New President of Rotarian President of Rotary Club of Ibara, GRA, Rotarian Monayajo Adeola on his own implored Nigerians to take measure to safe guard their mental health as he also disclosed the club’s plan for its residents.
“The Prestigious Rotary Club of Ibara GRA today is proposing 10 million naira project for our Rotary Garden at OPIC roundabout, some millions of naira for solar powered street light poles to brighten the dark areas within Ibara GRA to guard against criminal activities at nignt.
“ I am really bold to announce that the prestigious rotary club of ibara be partnering with both the public and private sector sustainable development goals (SDGs) to create a better future for all.
“We will use our knowledge of local issues to identify areas of need in Ibara housing estate and its nearest community, then apply our expertise and diverse perspectives to find solutions.
Rotarian Monayajo had his National Diploma in Civil Engineering at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ojere and Bachelor of Science in computer science from National Open University (NOUN) and also have several certifications from online studies in Hospitality Management, Business Administration and Information Technology.
