Hon . Damilola Soneye, member, Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Obafemi Owode constituency, has called on Muslim faithfuls to continue to pray for the sustenance of peace and also show love to the less privileged.
Soneye stated this on Saturday in his message to his constituents to mark the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
The lawmaker highlighted the importance of the holy month and why prayers for the sustenance of peace in Obafemi Owode local government, Ogun State and Nigeria was important.
He called on Muslim faithful to intercede on behalf of the leaders for adherence to the will of God whether in or out of power.
Soneye sought closer relationship with the creator through fasting and prayers to achieve ultimate submission to the will of Allah.
” This is a month to intensify communication with Almighty Allah through humanitarian activities and repentance.
” It is important to follow the doctrines of Almighty Allah,” he said.
Soneye explained that he would continue to represent his constituency effectively and ensure that dividends of democracy cuts across all nook and crannies of Obafemi Owode local government.
The lawmaker urged Nigerians to shun acts that could jeopardized the growth and development of the country.
