Rtd. Brig-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi, Osun State Commander of Amotekun Corps, has expressed condolences to his counterpart in Ondo Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, and the entire Amotekun Operatives in the state, following the death of the state’s governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Adewinmbi sent his condolence in a statement made available to the newsmen in Osogbo, on Wednesday.
He said, “I extend my deepest condolences to the Ondo State Corps Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, and the entire Amotekun operatives in the state on the passing of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu SAN.
“His legacy will be remembered, and my thoughts are with his family and the entire Ondo State during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.”
“His efforts in the establishment of Amotekun in the Southwest states are well known by all and sundry to tackled insecurity in the Southwest.
“His loss is not only felt by the people of Ondo state but also by the entire nation.
“I commend his dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
“Arakunrin Akeredolu’s visionary approach and relentless efforts to improve the lives of citizens will always be remembered.
“His remarkable achievements across various sectors, including security, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and agriculture, have made an indelible impact on the state’s development.
“As the nation mourns the loss of this remarkable leader, administrator, and legal luminary per excellence, Arakunrin Akeredolu’s memory will continue to illuminate for societal emulation.”
The Osun Amotekun Corps Commander condoled with Akeredolu’s family, Ondo Amotekun, the Newly Sworn-in governor of the state, members of the state House of Assembly, friends, and the people of Ondo State.
