Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA), has indicated interest to facilitate loans for would-be 100 fish farmers, who have acquired necessary skills under the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the Dapo Abiodun Empowerment Programme (DAEP).
The General Manager, OSAMCA, Mr. Olugbenga Abolaji – Israel disclosed this in Abeokuta, while enumerating the activities of the agency in the last one year, saying his agency would soon conduct a graduation ceremony for the beneficiaries.
Abolaji-Isreal pointed out that over 6,000 people in Abeokuta, Ilaro, Ota, Sagamu and Ijebu-Ode had benefited from various vocational training organised by the Agency, ranging from website design, soap and bag making, laptop repair, hats and fascinators, paint making, and cinematography, among others, aimed at improving the standard of living of the masses, with a multiplying effect on the socio-economic development of the State.
The OSAMCA General Manager also revealed that efforts were in top gear to unveil ‘Kiosks’ initiative that would allow the beneficiaries and other interested entrepreneurs to own a kiosk, stating that people should enroll for it at the 20 Local Government secretariats or OSAMCA Zonal Offices in Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode, Ilaro, and Sagamu.
“OSAMCA is assiduously working with the mandate of Governor Dapo Abiodun to assist the general public in ensuring a better standard of living for them”, he affirmed.
