The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists applauds Governor Dapo Abiodun on the significant appointment of Mr Kehinde Onasanya, a seasoned journalist and thoroughbred professional, as the new Head of the Ogun State Civil Service.
This is contained in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Monday by Akinwale Olanrewaju and Bunmi Adigun, the Chairman and Secretary respectively.
The Union expresses its appreciation to the Governor on this historic choice of one of its members which marks a shift towards excellence and efficiency in the State’s civil service, expressing strong belief that the appointment reflects the commitment of the Ogun State government to recruiting top talent and fostering a culture of meritocracy.
As the first journalist to ascend the esteemed position of the Head of Service in the State, Mr Onasanya, no doubt, would bring his wealth of experience and expertise to the civil service, working towards enhancing productivity, transparency, and professionalism, as he is well-equipped to drive positive change and innovation within the government.
Having served in various capacities within the field of journalism and administration, his commitment to professionalism, ethical standards, and unquenchable thirst for service delivery sure make him an ideal choice to lead the Ogun State Civil Service
We are therefore confident that his wealth of experience, leadership skills, and dedication to public service will be instrumental in driving positive change and innovation within the Ogun State Civil Service and as well enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of government operations.
