Ogun housing corporation rewards staff, charges others on diligence

In recognition of their commitment and hard work, 22 staff of Ogun State Housing Corporation (OGSHC) have received outstanding awards, while 11 retirees, who served between 2016 and 2023 were also honoured.

The General Manager of the Corporation, ESV. Wale Ojo, who spoke during the award and sent forth ceremony at the agency’s Conference Hall in Ibara, Abeokuta, said the gesture was necessary to boost staffers’ morale towards enhancing their productivity.

ESV. Ojo, while pointing out the significance of dedication and resourcefulness in an organisation, said the Corporation would make the event an annual affair, as part of its resolve to celebrate excellence.

The OGSHC boss, who appreciated the staffers for their loyalty to the present administration and the agency in particular, said their exceptional contributions had helped to achieve its goal, charging other staffers to emulate the worthy attributes of the outstanding officers.

He urged the awardees not to relent but be more proactive in the discharge of their duties, advising the retirees to make good use of their time, saying, “This award is not limited to the present awardees, everyone here can be an award winner. You can work towards it through dedication and hard work ‘’.

    Responding on behalf of other awardees, a Principal Officer in the Department of Public Relations, Mrs.  Adijat Olaleye, lauded the management for the honour, promising efficient service delivery in their various offices, while, Mr. Yinusa Adeosun, who spoke for the retirees, appreciated the Corporation for organising a befitting send-off party for them.

Other dignitaries at the ceremony include, representatives of a former Board Chairman, Alhaji Yemi Sanusi and former Board member, Chief Niyi Edun, among others.
