In a bid to renew focus on professionalism, building capacity and contributing to the economic growth of the state, the Ogun state Accountants Forum has elected new Executive Officers to run its affairs for the next two years.
The newly appointed Chairman, Mr. Taiwo Peter, appreciated his colleagues for their supports and trust, pledging that his tenure would elevate the forum to an enviable position within the civil service and beyond.
He pointed out that, plans were underway to organise workshops and seminars, aimed at developing intellectual capacity of members to be abreast of modern accounting practices and developments within the service, to enable them discharge their duties effectively.
Mr. Taiwo highlighted the forum’s role in contributing to the growth of the state, particularly in terms of revenue generation and other areas aligned with the ISEYA mantra of the state government.
In his remark, Chairman of the 2024 Electoral Committee Mr. Olayinka Odukoya. expressed his gratitude to the executive for the opportunity to serve, noting the historic nature of the election, being the first to include a screening process for contestants and the issuance of Certificate of Return, urging the newly elected executive to work together as a team to achieve the forum’s objectives.
Speaking on behalf of the members, Mr. Ismail Morenikeji, appreciated the past executive committee for their dedication and impact, acknowledging their successful stewardship, while encouraging the new executive to build on their achievements and strive for greater height.
