A nonprofit environmental advocacy group, Eco Diversified International is set to host Youths in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital to a dialogue addressing global health concerns and the actualization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2050.
The event themed “Youth Involvement in Actualization of the SDGs,” is slated for 18th of August at the June 12 Cultural Center, Kuto Abeokuta.
The initiative is also in partnership with the Ogun State Ministries of Environment and Education, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun state chapter, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Federal College of Education, Osiele and Tai Solarin University of Education.
According to the President of Eco Diversified, Esther Oluwatoyin, it has become imperative to engage the youths in meaningful conversations about their roles in achieving the sustainable development goals
Oluwatoyin noted that “by fostering dialogue and encouraging action, we aim to create a ripple effect that will lead to tangible advancements in the journey to achieve the SDGs.”
“More importantly, by uniting our efforts, we can catalyze change, inspire innovation, and build a brighter future for generations to come.” she added.
