First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun has been described by her husband as a selfless and loving partner and a caring mother with a large heart.
Governor Dapo Abiodun gave this description at the thanksgiving service held at the government house chapel, Oke Igbein, Abeokuta to celebrate Mrs. Abiodun’s 57th birthday.
Appreciating his wife, the Governor said Mrs. Abiodun has been a strong pillar behind his successes particularly in the service to the state and humanity.
He thanked God for preserving her life to witness another year and prayed that she should witness many more years to come.
Governor Abiodun said such celebrations should remind humans that as they add years, lifetime diminishes adding that everyone on earth has purposes and impacting lives was one of them.
In his message, titled “Unquantifiable Thanksgiving”, Elder Apostle Jacob Adeaga said the blessings enjoyed by the First Lady from God since her birth could not be quantified admonishing her to continue to be grateful to God for all she had received noting that no one could get anything except from God.
He enjoined Mrs. Abiodun to improve on her service to the people of the state in the new administration reminding her of her position as the mother of the state.
Responding, the celebrant, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun appreciated God for keeping her to witness another year noting that she had too many reasons to be grateful to God despite her challenges and sorrows in life.
She said she was determined to be intentional about her life in the years ahead and give her best to the welfare and wellbeing of the people.
Mrs. Abiodun who knelt down in appreciation of what her husband had been to her, also prayed for him adding that he had being her rock and supporter throughout the years.
She promised more of her unflinching commitment to the service of the state and humanity as she adds another year expressing that it was a privilege for her to be alive in good health and sound mind.
At the occasion, the celebrant was presented with birthday presents by the body of permanent secretaries led by the Ogun State Head of Service, Mr. Kola Fagbohun and the management of government house chapel led by the Chaplain, Reverend Layi Olaleye.
The ceremony was well attended by dignitaries among who were the present and past cabinet members, permanent secretaries as well as friends and family members of the celebrant.
