ABEOKUTA- A group, Ogun Youth Advocate For Social Development (OGYASD) has directed its over 5,000 members across Ogun State to re-elect Governor Dapo Abiodun in the March 11 governorship election.
The group equally showed preference for the All Progressives Congress (APC’s) Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the President in the February 25th Presidential election.
President of the group, Comrade Oluseyi Alamu during a Press conference organised at the Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Abeokuta, the state capital disclosed that the choice of Abiodun was inspired by his (Abiodun) laudable achievements in the state.
Alamu who described Abiodun as detrinalised leader ‘who had his footprints all over the state’, expressed optimism that the incumbent Governor will take the state to the promised land.
OGYASD also noted that the emergence of Abiodun has brought hope for the people of the state since he emerged as the 6th civilian governor of Ogun .
Alamu said “Our support for Governor Adedapo Abiodun was motivated by the very obvious achievements in the state in all the key sectors of the economy. The Governor has within a space of three years in office recorcorded unbeatable achievements that ordinarily could have taken eight years to achieve. The overhaul of the agric Sector under Abiodun’s administration speaks volume of this.
“Governor Abiodun took up the challenge in his stride and worked assiduously to complete all abandoned road projects across the state, including the flyovers in Abeokuta, Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu-Igbo, Sagamu, and Sango-Ota, among others, that’s the man we want to lead again he’s interested in development Ogun State is second to none.
“As the President of this group, I have also directed the over 5, 000 members of OGYASD, all of whom have obtained their PVCs to support the governor’s second term bid.
“The glory of Ogun State has not been demerit with his Laudable achievements. A lot of projects have been going on through his administration and also the abandoned projects from the past administration prince Dapo Abiodun MFR took time to visit all the crying projects and complete them.
He added “Today, most of these projects have been completed and delivered, while work is still ongoing on a few others that are yet to be commissioned. Therefore, we need to support Prince Dapo Abiodun to continue his mission for Ogun State so that we can land safely come 2027.”
