Hon. Lateefat Ajayi, Ogun Assembly member, has urged Christians to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, peaceful co-existence and sacrifice for one another which Jesus Christ demonstrated before paying the ultimate price on the cross.

Ajayi , representing Yewa South constituency , stated this on Sunday in Abeokuta in her Easter message to Christians in the state and the country as a whole.

The lawmaker noted that it was important to make the celebration of the resurrection of Christ be a constant reminder to always extend the virtues of selflessness, love, sacrifice and tolerance.

He called on Christians to use the season as a period to reflect on individual and collective roles towards promoting and sustaining the foundation of love, peace and harmony in the state and the nation at large.

“It is an opportunity to think of how we can join hands together and steer our dear state on the road to peace, stability and prosperity.

“We should continue to pray for the continuous growth and development of the state and the country and I believe it will take us to the promise land,” she said.
