FRSC decorates 60 newly promoted officers in Ogun


The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) , Ogun State Command, on Thursday , decorated 60 of its newly promoted officers in the state with their ranks.

Speaking to NAN during the ceremony at the command’s headquarters,  Abeokuta, Mr Clement Oladele,  the Sector Commander, said over 60 officers were promoted in Ogun out of all officers promoted nationwide.

He explained that 60 officers who were senior officers,   middle cadre officers and marshals were decorated at the Ogun command.

The sector commander called on the officers to dedicate their service to their fatherland, urging them not to be carried away tlwith the new ranks.

The FRSC boss enjoined the newly promoted officers to be grateful to God and that they should endeavour to put in more efforts.

Oladele said that the promotion was an opportunity to continue to contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria through safety on the roads.

“You have been promoted today,  definitely your salaries will increase, make sure you take care of your family because they have been the one supporting you till today. 

“The decoration is done simultaneously in all the states and I want to commend our Corps Marshall,  Boboye Oyeyemi and President Muhammadu Buhari for making the promotion exercise happen, ” he said. 

Mrs Florence Okpe , one of the newly promoted officers, promised to be more dedicated to duties, saying that the promotion had not been easy. 

“I will continue to promote the image of the FRSC and do my job diligently , I thank the command for the opportunity, “she said.

Representatives of the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) witnessed the decoration ceremony.
