Members of Ogun Assembly from Ogun West Senatorial District on Thursday commended Sen. Solomon Adeola, for the distribution of massive empowerment items to members of his constituency.
Adeola is the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for Ogun West Senatorial District in 2023 general elections.
The members who gave their submissions during plenary in Abeokuta included Jemili Akingbade (Imeko Afon) , Musefiu Lamidi (Ado- Odo Ota 11), Bolanle Ajayi (Yewa South).
Others were, Wahab Haruna (Yewa North 11) and Adegoke Adeyanju (Yewa North I).
The lawmakers task other elected officials to emulate his gestures of selfless service to humanity.
They described the Senator as a worthy ambassador and experienced legislator.
The assemblymen explained that the empowerment programmes which cut across the senatorial district were an indication that the Senatorial candidate would perform exceedingly well when elected as Senator in the state.
The lawmakers acknowledged the people-oriented programme which included the donation of four 18-seater buses to the Market women, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), League of Imams and Council of Baales.
Other interventions according to them were 19 transformers to boost rural electrification project and 1,500 desks and chairs for schools to complement the infrastructural efforts of the present administration in the state.
Responding, Mr Olakunle Oluomo, the Speaker, noted that Adeola’s gesture without being an elected Senator was a signal to the fact that he would do better when elected as Senator in the state.
Oluomo urged other senators to emulate by carrying out and showcasing their empowerment programmes for the people.
Adeola currently represented Lagos West Senatorial District at the National Assembly.
