Army hands over 365 pieces of wrapped Indian hemp to NDLEA in Ogun

The Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army, Alamala Barracks, Brig.-Gen Mohammed Aminu has handed over 365 pieces of Pawpaw size wrapped Cannabis Sativa weighing about 176KG to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency in Ogun.

This is contained in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Saturday by the Command’s spokesperson, Mohammed Goni .

According to the statement, the cannabis sativa was handed over to the NDLEA on Thursday.

Goni noted that the Garrison Commander, Col. Legborsi Nule , represented the brigade commander at the handing over of the exhibits.

Aminu explained that the brigade would continue to sustain all efforts in collaborating with other security agencies to rid the state of crimes.

He further reiterated the brigade’s commitment to ensuring troops maintained high standard and professionalism at all times in discharging their duties.

According to him, the suspect was arrested by troops on routine patrol on Jan. 6 at Olodo , Imeko along Imeko – Abeokuta road in the state.

The NDLEA Commandant in Ogun, Jane Odili commended the effort of the brigade and solicited more collaboration with the military, as well as other security agencies in the state.
