Hon. Yusuf Amosun , member representing Ewekoro constituency at the Ogun House of Assembly, said he has continually obtained University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms for students in Ewekoro local government.
Amosun, the Chairman, Ogun House of Assembly Committee on Education, Science and Technology, stated this while speaking to newsmen in Abeokuta.
The lawmaker stated that the gesture was part of his efforts to support education and youth development in his constituency and the state at large.
He added that the initiative was designed to alleviate the financial burden on parents and guardians and provide equal opportunities for all students to pursue their academic dreams.
” As a representative of the people, I believe it is our collective responsibility to invest in the future of our youth.
” The sponsorship program will cover the cost of JAMB registration, including the ePIN and registration fees.
” To be eligible, students must be residents of Ewekoro State Constituency, must have passed O’level with at least 5 credits in one sitting or 6 credits in two sittings, and also meet the JAMB registration requirements.
” I am committed to working with necessary stakeholders to ensure that this program reaches the most deserving students and makes a meaningful impact in our constituency,” he said.
Amosun noted that it was important to empower the next generation of leaders and change-makers.
He stressed that he had continued to support and empowered members of his constituency through different empowerment initiatives.
” I have empowered my people through the grace of God with the provision of needed items such as Freezers, Sewing Machines, Grinding Machines, and many more.
” I have also supported them through the provision of food items in order to ameliorate the hardship faced due to the current economic realities,” he said.
Amosun promised to continue to be a good representation of the his constituency.
