AIM HIGHER, DOUBLE EFFORT IN DISCHARGE OF YOUR DUTY, TPL.OLATUNJI ODUNLAMI
The newly re-appointed Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tpl.Olatunji Odunlami has called on staff of the ministry to redouble their efforts by welcoming new ideas, initiatives and innovations that would have direct impact on the quality of lives of the citizenry.
Odunlami gave the charge during the meeting organized by the management staff to mark his return to the Ministry, requesting for cooperation to consolidate on the ambitious foundation laid, and progress made, in the last administration.
The Commissioner charged all heads of unit to draw a work plan for their units and departments, which would be presented at the next meeting.
“We must not be static, but proactive in the discharge of our duties so that we can all fulfil our purpose of being in service,” he noted.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Olayiwola Abiodun, enumerated the progress initiated by Honourable Commissioner in the last administration, including the design and passage of Ogun State Urban and Regional Development (OGURPD) Law 2022, unbundling the Town planning board into three enforcement agencies for improved productivity, among others.
Engr. Abiodun the pledged support of the management and staff towards achieving the goals of the present administration.
Responding on behalf of the staffers, Director, Urban Development, Tpl. Rufus Talabi, appreciated the Commissioner for his exemplary leadership, wishing him a successful and impactful tenure in office.
