3 die in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have confirmed the death of three persons in an accident that involved two trucks around Mowe on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Mrs Florence Okpe, the Spokesperson, FRSC in Ogun, disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta on Saturday.

Okpe noted that the incident occurred at 1:07am and it involved a bluebird truck marked T-15636 LA and a Howo truck without registration number .

She explained that the accident was caused by dangerous driving and loss of control .

The FRSC spokeswoman noted that the bluebird truck container fell on the howo truck killing all the three occupants in the truck.

” The suspected cause of the crash was dangerous driving and loss of control. The FRSC operatives tried to rescue the trapped victims but unfortunately the driver and two other people in the vehicle died,” she said.

Okpe explained that the deceased were deposited at Idera Morgue, Sagamu.

She advised motorists to drive defensively and always anticipate the action of others, saying they should avoid dangerous driving and follow traffic rules and regulations.
