In its bid to secure a convenient accommodation for the 2024 intending pilgrims in Mecca, Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB), has signed an agreement with a reputable accommodation provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Hajj operations.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alh. Salau Daudu Babatunde, who visited Mecca and Medinnah in company of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) officials, said the facility, which was close to Haram, within Ajyad zone of Makkah, would make the exercise seamless.
Alhaji Salau hinted that the Board had engaged the services of an approved caterer, who would provide local dishes for the pilgrims, in order to make their stay more enjoyable.
The OGMPWB boss reiterated the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun’s commitment towards providing the best services to the intending pilgrims, promising that their well- being would be paramount throughout their stay in Saudi Arabia.
He appealed to all intending pilgrims to use the new extension date of Wednesday, January 31, 2024, to balance their Hajj deposit of 4.5 million Naira, urging those who still wish to perform this year’s hajj with the state government to fast track the process before the deadline
