The Union however laments the Ogun State government neglect of journalists under the umbrella of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), stressing that the relationship between media and government has a profound impact on the information to which the public has access.
As members of the forth estate of the realm and critical stakeholders in the Building of Our Future Together (BOFT) mantra of the present administration, policies affecting media should be of paramount as it is clear that without a strong relationship between the government and media, public dialogue, social inclusion, and political participation are all impacted.
