The second term ambition of the Chairman, House of Assembly on Works, Hon Fasua Abayomi Johnson, prominently known in the Ogun political circle as FAJ on Wednesday received another boost, as the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ijebu North-East local government area of the state as well as other party stakeholders endorsed his re-election ahead of the 2023 general election.
Speaking separately at a consultative meeting with APC LG executives, and other stakeholders, the party leaders explained that they decided to support FAJ in order to sustain the tempo of steady and unrelenting progress and development in the LG area.
Those in attendance at the meeting were Chief James Dina, the State Deputy Chairman of the party, Local Government chairman and his vice, Hon Badejo and Hon Bariyu Agboke , Secretary to the LG, Mrs Iyabo Onadipe and the Leader of the Legislative House Hon Ogunwale Olamide.
Mr Wale Omowunmi, the LG party Chairman, Chief Femi Odufowokan, a former Council Chairman and presently, Permanent Member 1, SUBEB, Pa Onasanya, The Chairman, Elders Forum, Pa Ogunkoya, GAC member, Hon Adebanjo and Hon Adesanya Martins also attended the meetings.
Others include Hon Damola Odubanjo, former member of Ogun Assembly, Mrs Onadeko Abiodun, former Vice Chairperson of the Council, Pa Ayanbajo, the ten LG Councillors and all Ward Chairmen of the party.
The party stakeholders stressed further that the endorsement of Hon Fasua for a second term was aimed at reciprocating the lawmaker’s good gesture towards the indigenes and residents of Ijbu North-East Council area.
“We are satisfied with your performance, you have represented us well, you have been with us through the thick and thin, your performance is unprecedented and of course we adopt you as our Candidate”, the Party Elders and Leaders affirmed.
In his opening remarks at the parley, Hon Fasua Abayomi Johnson said he was recontesting for the House of Assembly seat to consolidate on the numerous achievements and also to increase the positive change which his initial mandate has brought to the constituency.
“We are not going to relent in our efforts in making the Local Government a Local Government to reckon with, my consolidation ambition will bring to limelight more developmental strides in all ramifications, I want to continue to be your Voice, but only if you want me to, hence I am here to plead for your support in actualizing this ambition”, he stated.
