Amalgamated Atiku Support Group has congratulated Peoples Democratic Party, as well as the party’s presidential candidate, Waziri Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on the emergence of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa as the Vice Presidential candidate of the party.

AASG trusts the choice of Governor Okowa, being a collected, detribalised patriot, purveyor of morals and a poster personality; which means that, the group believes he’s going to add value to the realization of the mandate.

In a statement signed by AASG’s National Director for Media & Publicity, Olusegun Olukoga, the group expresses satisfaction that, Governor Okowa’s emergence did not generate any negative vibes within and outside the party, which testified to the democratic approach the party adopted to come to that conclusion.

“We have seen that the party and its flag bearer, Alhaji Atiku painstakingly engaged necessary stakeholders before announcing Governor Okowa; this tells us that, the PDP has again gotten it right in a bid to reposition itself to returning to Aso Rock, for the good of all Nigerians”

“AASG believes the joint ticket of former vice-president Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa will rebuild the confidence of Nigerians to trust PDP with their votes, in order to address the economy, security and political challenges currently bedeviling the country.”
