The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Sheu Mohammed, on Wednesday inaugurated an ultra modern secretariat constructed by Special Marshals in Ogun.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony at the command’s headquarter in Abeokuta, Mohammed noted that the project meant a lot to the FRSC.
The corps marshal explained that the strategy of the command in 2025 would be more of collaboration and partnership which would bring everyone on board.
He added that road safety idea was more of shared responsibilities.
He reiterated that collaboration and partnerships remained the only answer to reducing fatality on the roads.
He implored officers of the FRSC to be more dedicated, ensure selfless service and continue to deliver to the society.
” Our duties is to ensure that motorists and road users avoid crashes, injuries. That’s our primary assignment.
” Our job is public service, humanitarian and the only way we can project the image of FRSC is by doing the right thing.
” We are going to improve on technology driven process. We can’t do that without training and retraining of our personnel,” he said.
The FRSC boss appreciated the special marshals for there selfless efforts, describing them as men of integrity who made sacrifices and were tested and trusted.
In his remarks, the FRSC Sector commander in Ogun, Akinwunmi Fasakin, noted that the unprecedented achievement of the Special Marshals in the state was
a testament of their unity, vision and dedication.
Earlier, the Zonal Coordinator of Special Marshals, Solomon Adeniyi, said that the new building had six offices, two big halls, nine rest rooms.
” It also has two conjoined rooms which is designed to accommodate a Clinic,” he said.
The corps marshal had earlier inaugurated another building constructed by a philanthropist, Ifeanyi Imuseh at the Sagamu Unit command.
