The Ogun assembly on Monday screened Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s commissioner-nominees for Ministry of Information, Waheed Odusile and that of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu.
Mr Olakunle Oluomo, the Speaker, who presided over the screening at the assembly complex, Abeokuta , charged the nominees to exhibit professionalism and deploy their skills and experience in their respective fields.
He implored them to uphold the ethics and good conduct in the delivery of good governance,described the nominees as a round peg in a round hole.
The speaker challenged them to put in place innovation to revamp education and strengthen the operations of media houses in the state through technological advancements.
Responding to questions, Odusile promised to improve on the flow of credible Information to the public having served on the apec unions of jounalists in the nation and Africa continents.
He stated that he would ensure more cordially relationship between the executives and the legislature.
Also responding, Arigbabu promised to introduced technologies in the state secondary schools while assuring that Vocational and Entrepreneurship Studies would received a boost.
He also assured that education management information system would be introduced, while teachers and students welfare would be a priority.
Emphasising the role of constructive criticism in good governance, the lawmakers who took turn to assess the nominees, challenged them to put in place innovation in the operations of the state broadcasting media through technological advancement.
