OGHA lauds state, LG auditors general for promoting accountability


 The Office of the Auditor-General, Ogun State led by the State Auditor General, Mr. Sunday Olubanjo and his Local Government counterpart, Mr. Lamidi Mulero have been commended for promoting accountability and transparency in the running of government through the production of audit reports of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government as well as Local Government Councils in the State.

The members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Public Account and Anti-corruption led by Hon Musefiu Lamidi, gave the commendation while appraising the budget performance of the agencies in Abeokuta.
The members enjoined the them to continue to propmt audit of the records of the various MDAs in the State with a view to promoting good governance.
Hon. Lamidi in company of other lawmakers challenged them to ensure that all records of their agencies were well documented and protected for future reference.
Presenting the Budget Performance of his Office, the State Auditor General noted over  59% of capital expenditure was achieved during the period.
Also, the State Broadcasting Corporation, (OGBC) and the State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, (TRACE) had their budget performance appraised by the State lawmakers.
