The developmental blueprint of the Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration in Ogun State is all encompassing, covering infrastructure, health, education, citizen’s welfare, economy, security of lives and property, sports and adherence to the rule of law among others.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Hon. Remmy Hazzan, who made this known while fielding questions from journalists in Abeokuta, said, “this government is not just paying lip service to governance, the Governor is being strategic and has set the agenda for proper development”.

Hon. Hazzan revealed that government had decided to work on all major roads to further open up the State economically, with the help of development partners, not leaving out other roads that needed rehabilitation.

According to him, part of the economic development that would catapult the State out of the baseline it was currently operating include, the Olokola Free Trade Zone and the Ewekoro Inland Port projects, which the State government was working on, assuring that it would attract more investors and boost commercial activities in the State.

Speaking on the health sector, the Special Adviser said, “we are going back to the basis by getting the primary health care right, as this would reduce the pressure on our secondary health care facilities”, disclosing that medical equipment had been upgraded and major renovations carried out in State Hospitals at Ilaro and Abeokuta.
Remarking on the state of uncompleted projects by the immediate past administration, Hon. Hazzan disclosed that such projects would not be abandoned so that the resources spent on them were not wasted, as they would be properly looked into, completed and put to judicious use.

The Special Adviser assured that government would not leave out any region or district of the State in its developmental agenda, reiterating that the blueprint has all citizens of the State covered.

Hon. Hazzan noted that Governor Abiodun’s administration had established security trust fund, purchased security vehicles with communication gadgets as well as embraced operation Amotekun, among other security initiatives, to make the State safe for the people and investors.
