The Executive and Members of Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers Union (RATTAWU), Ogun State Council has congratulated veteran broadcaster, Dr. Oluwayemisi Bamgbose on his appointment as the Executive Secretary of Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON).
Mr Kolawole Oso, the State Publicity Secretary of RATTAWU stated this in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Saturday.
According to the statement, the state Chairman of the union , Adewole Bamgbose noted that the emergence of Yemisi Bamgbose as the Executive Secretary during the 74th General Assembly of the Organization in Abuja, no doubt, will contribute to the development of the Organisation.
He pointed out that Bamgbose was a two- term National President of the Union, a retired Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service and a Veteran Broadcaster.
He added that his appointment as the executive secretary of the umbrella body of both government and privately-owned broadcasting organizations in Nigeria was a welcome development.
The RATTAWU chairman stated that BON’s vision was to foster a future-proof environment for radio, TV and New Media Broadcasters to serve their audiences and contribute to the development of the society.
He said he believed that with his wealth of exeperience in Broadcasting world, the vision will be achieved.
He also congratulated the Assistant General Manager(News & Current Affairs), Ogun State Television, Mr Seyi Oladimeji for his appointment as Chairman BON ZONE C.
He described the appointment as a well deserved one, considering his years of experience in the broadcasting.
