FCE Abeokuta directs students to resume Jan. 18


The management of Federal College of Education (FCE),  Abeokuta has directed students in 100, 200 and 300 level to resume for the 2019/2020 second semester academic session on January 18.

This is contained in a statement signed by the institutions Registrar, Dr.  Adedayo Adebayo, on Friday in Abeokuta.

The management noted that the decision was in line with the directive of the Federal Ministry of Education that Institutions should resume academic activities as from January 18.

 It urged all returning students to ensure full  and strict compliance with the COVID-19 protocols.

“The COVID -19 protocols includes compulsory wearing of facemasks by all students, observance of social distancing, frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizers.

“Adherence to all other non-pharmaceutical protocols, restrictions and containment measures as may be prescribed/approved by the Presidential Tax Force on COVID-19 from time to time.

“In addition, all students are to put on their identity cards on campus for ease of identification and security.

“All staff and students are equally enjoined to cooperate with the authority in its effort to safeguard and keep the College free from the COVID-19 pandemic and security threats.

“The College Management warmly welcomes all students back to the College and wishes all a successful and peaceful session,” the statement read.
