Two persons sustained various degrees of injuries in an accident involving a Toyota Camry and Bajaj motorcycle around Olorunsogo axis in Abeokuta.
Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Spokesperson, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) in Ogun, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta on Saturday.
Akinbiyi explained that the accident occurred at 7am around Olorunsogo, close to RCCG, saying that it was caused by the driver of the camry who drove against Traffic and hit the motorcycle rider and his female passenger.
” The Toyota camry drove against Traffic from Olorunsogo roundabout towards Iyana mortuary and collided with the oncoming motorcycle from Iyana mortuary,” he said.
Akinbiyi noted that the camry driver had been apprehended and handed over to Police at kemta Divisional command in Idi Aba, Abeokuta.
He explained that the rider of the motorcycle had been taken to Federal Medical Center (FMC),Abeokuta while the female passenger taken to General Hospital, Ijaye by the TRACE team.
The TRACE spokesman, however, said that the driver of the camry car would be charged to court on Monday.
