COVID -19 lockdown : Ogun Farmer donates food items to security personnel enforcing order


 In a rare show of friendliness,  a farmer in Abeokuta,  Tosin Edun on Thursday extended hands of fellowship to security personnel enforcing the stay at home order aimed to flatten the curve of the spread of COVID -19.

The gesture was extended to the officers of Nigeria  police,  civil defence,  TRACE corps and So -Safe corps as a way of encouraging them while being exposed to the dreaded disease. 

OgunToday  reports that Items distributed to the security personnel included crates of eggs,  catfish and vegetables. 

Speaking to newsmen, Edun explained that the stimulus package was stemmed out of his desire to touch lives in a special way. 
He added that the relief package would be on continuous basis for the period of the lockdown. 
He commended the government for the lockdown,  saying it remained the best way to avoid the spread of the virus. 

The areas visited by the farmer included Pansheke, Ibara under bridge and Adatan area of Abeokuta.
