The Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Youth and Sports has called on young people in the state to ensure frequent medical checks to enable early diagnosis and treatment.
Comrade Lawal made this known when students of Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese paid him a courtesy visit in Abeokuta, in commemoration of the World Cancer Day.
‘Cancer is a disease that can be diagnosed and treated when medical checks are often. A society will do well when the youth population enjoy good health,’ Comrade Lawal said
He assured the youth in the state that the well-being of everyone is a priority to the governor.
He advised youths in the State to carry out frequent checks on health related matters, an act he assures will aid the fight against cancer.
Bakare Mustapha, the president of National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) of the institution thanked Comrade Lawal for the opportunity, adding that their institution is preparing them to meet up with global standards.
