Sowore’s re-arrest, a national disgrace , says Media aide to Ex Ogun Speaker

The erstwhile media aide to Ogun State Speaker,Waheed Akinola, has described the rearrest of sahara reports publisher, Omoyele Sowore by men of the DSS as a national disgrace and complete embarrassment to all Nigerians.
Akinola said this while fielding questions from journalists recently on the ugly development, adding that the abduction of the human right activist was wanton disrespect and disregard to the rule of law and the court.
The rearrest, according to him, was devoid of decency and a clear return to dictatorship which is a clear antithesis to democracy. He called on men of good conscience to rise and fight the injustice and habitual disregard to court rulings by the current regime.
In his words: no one is safe anymore my dear brothers. Agba Jalingo and the rest are victims of Government growing intolerance. Those of us standing with Sowore have to go underground for fear of major crackdown. This is a sad commentary on our collective sensibilities and that is very shameful and clearly unacceptable..
Akinola equally spoke on the clash between supporters of the All Progressive congress and Allied Peoples Movement early in the year, saying that he was only lucky to have escaped the fracas unhurt. He stressed the need for politicians to play the game with caution.
