Immediate past Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Mr. Imohimi D. Edgalhas been redeployed to Ogun state as the new Commissioner of Police.
This follows a fresh order by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, on Thursday.
A statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, late Thursday night, indicates that the new CP in Ogun state should have resumed by Friday morning.
Other states affected by same order include Cross River State, which now has CP Nkereuwem A. Akpan, Akwa Ibom State which now has CP Kenneth Ebrimson, while Kano State’snew CP is Habu Sani Ahmadu.
Others are Edo State, CP Lawal Jimeta, Bauchi State, CP Philip Sule Maku and Lagos state, Lagos State – Ag/CP Odumosu H. Olusegun.
The IGP urged the newly posted officers to improve on the efforts of their predecessors in the areas of public safety and crime-fighting.
He also directed the new commissioners to work with relevant stakeholders in adopting aggressive, proactive and community-based crime prevention strategies to combat crime.
