Ogun : So Safe Corps trains over 1,000 personnel

The Ogun State So Safe Corps has trained over 1,000 of her personnel across the state by the security operative.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training in Abeokuta,   Mr Soji Ganzalo , State Commandant , disclosed that the training was  another milestone in the history of the corps.

Oguntoday gathered that the training was designed to equip over 1,000 men of the Corps with the needed techniques and expertise to be able to  professionally tackle insecurity like kidnapping  and latest intelligence gathering techniques to curb crimes in the state.

Ganzalo  appreciated the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama for his cooperation and support towards series of training he provided for his men.

Ganzalo while praising the state government said the effort of the state government and the collaboration with other security agencies had made the state  one of the peaceful  in Nigeria.

He thanked his men for the time and dedication they set aside for the training.
 “I want to sincerely appreciate your obedience during the training for exhibiting discipline in the way of doing your thing, I must appreciate you for your sacrifice because you have not been receiving salary from the state government but you are still acting as a volunteer”

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir  Makama,  who spoke through Oluseye Akinfolahan, DPO Owode Egba Police Division tasked the participants to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the training to improve the security formation of the state towards ensuring adequate security of lives and properties. 

Mrs Olusola Osasona, Director, Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs also urged the trained officers to justify government spendings by judiciously put into use the knowledge imparted through the training for better human performance.

Our correspondent gathered that the training featured some topics which included the power of observation, human trafficking and its negative implication, as well as practical experiment on arms handling among others.
Dignitaries at the event include; Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Cabinet, Isikilu Olanrewaju Saka, Mr.  Adesanya Oyelude, Adesoji Adewuyi, NSCDC representative, TRACE PRO, among others.
