The National Association Of Nigeria Students (NANS), Ogun State Joint Campus Committee (JCC) has commended the recent intervention of Ogun state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on the lingering crisis in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) and Tai Solarin College of Education.
According to a statement issued to Journalists in Abeokuta, the State Capital, the NANS Chairman, Comrade Tomiwa Bamgbose lauded the Governor’s effort to rejuvenate the dwindling glory of the both institutions.
He said the current administration has not just intervene on the crisis in the institutions but has also expressed his love for quality education.
Bamgbose’s view was that if all students in the State could flaunt support for Abiodun, the education system would witness tremendous change.
He maintained that the academic activities in TASCE and MAPOLY have been scuttled for a long time over the demand of unpaid salaries by the Amosun led government.
Bamgbose who described the incumbent Governor as the institutions’ Messiah, stressed that the intervention of the new Governor has restored peace on the affected campuses.
He however urged the resolution committee set up by the State government on TASCE crisis not to rest on its oar in ensuring that all that are still needed to be done are done.
He expressed appreciation to students of the institutions for their patience and perseverance during the strike action.
