Two people were killed while three others sustained injuries in Eid-el-kabir accident which occured at Ososa on Sagamu-Ijebu Ode expressway on Sunday.
Mrs Florence Okpe, the Spokesperson, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, confirmed the incident in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta.
Okpe explained that the incident occured at 11:28a.m and it involved an ash colour Howo Truck with no registration number and a blue Toyota Camry Car with registration number APP 478 FS.
She stated that the accident was caused by excessive speed which led to loss of control and subsequent collision by the two vehicles.
The FRSC spokesperson hinted that five people were involved in the accident which involved one man and four women.
” A total of two people were killed , which comprised one man and a woman while three women got injured,” she said.
Okpe explained that the injured were taken to the General Hospital, Ijebu Ode for medical treatment while the deceased was deposited at the morgue of same hospital.
