In order to further boost infrastructural development, a real estate company, Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, has sought for partnership with the Ogun State Government on the proposed Pelican’s/Gateway Economic Autarky project.

This was made known by the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo, during a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile, on Thursday, that proposed project would have three sub projects which will include; The Pelican’s Ecostay Apartments; the Pelican Brief Estate; the Pelican Greenish Acres Farm Estate and the Pelican Farm Market.

Adeyemo said the purpose of the meeting was primarily to share with the state government the vision and mission of the company which geared towards creating a self-sustaining economy that would also serve as bedrock for sustainability urbanization, coupled with mechanized agriculture as a springboard for economy sustainability.

He explained that the company through its various projects had contributed in no small measure to the coffers of the state government, in terms of revenue generation.

He said that subscribers of the company Estates, Pelican Valley and Pelican Brief, have been dragged into the revenue net of the state, via payments for land documentations.

Adeyemo noted that the Ministry which is the mouthpiece of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration had been at the front burner to project the activities of the state government, hence the need to bring the project before it.

“Today, Pelican Brief Estate, Kobape is one of the fastest growing Estates, with over one thousand Nigerians in as diaspora investors. We are here for a number of reasons, one of which is that Ogun state is our host, but primarily, we are here to share with you our vision and mission towards creating a self-sustaining economy that would also serve as bedrock for sustainability urbanization, coupled with mechanized agriculture as a springboard for economy sustainability.

“We want to ignite the Gateway smart cities of our dream as urbanization lies not just in the hand of the government, but likewise collective effort of the private investors and stakeholders in the real Estate sector in the state in line with the mandate of the Prince Dapo Abiodun’s led administration.

“Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited had “played a vital role in the state urbanization and controlled development strategy in Ogun State government in general.

“The emergence and the launch of Pelican Brief Estate, Kobape had played an integral role in generation of revenue for the state government, ranging from various stamp duties from clients and investors, also bringing over one thousand Nigerians in diaspora into the Ogun State governments Tax drag net, through payment of stamp duties and building approval levies, apart from the corresponding job creation effects of our project.

“To us this is just a starting point as we are set to ignite some project within the Kobape region that will help aid, sustain and generate more revenue to the coffers of the state government and also aid controlled development, proper planning and Urbanization and most importantly boost the agricultural production base of the state in no small measure.

“The Pelican’s Gateway Economic Autarky project contains three sub project namely; The Pelican’s Ecostay Apartments, The Pelican Brief Estate, The Pelican’s Greenish Acres Farm Estate and The pelican Farm Market. (As it was in our frame).

“The Pelican Ecostay Apartment as the name implies evolve around building affordable homes for intended client in a 100% eco-friendly environment which support zero carbon emission in it usage.

“The Pelican Brief Estate is set to be the very first smart city, with our serviced plot allotment scheme… However, in our bid to completely invigorate the economy of our Estates axis, our Organization had concluded plans to launch the Pelican’s Greenish acres farm Estate and also the Pelican’s Farm Market, less that 1.5 kilometers away from our Estate projects in Kobape, come 11th of September 2022.

It’s worthy of note that this particular Masa, Kobape axis had been constantly neglected by past administrations; and had felt the presence of government last for over 2 decades.

“Lest, we forget to appreciate former governor of the State, Chief Olusegun Osoba for fixing a 33-KVA trunk line we are enjoying on the axis today.

“Apart from the 1.5Km committed acquisition boundaries, the strategic and prime status of the axis is expected to generate an estimated #30 billion in direct and indirect taxes into the coffers of the Ogun State government within the next three years, when the 3 kilometres single lane road is fixed.

Apart from the attendant expected revenues from that axis, the road would also serve as a veritable means on decongesting the Kobape/Abeokuta expressway and also aid urban rural migration, which would in the long run decongest Abeokuta metropolis.

“Let me conclude this address by informing the Honorable Commissioner that, we are also extending this consultations to the ministry of Agriculture, finance, Housing, urban and His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Odusile in his response commended the initiative of the company in developing the real estate sector, while re-emphasising the commitment of the state government towards promotion of Private Public Partnership.

The commissioner flanked by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry , Alhaji Waheed Adesina and the Chief Press Secretay to Abiodun, Mr. Kunle Somorin, noted that the Gateway State is open for investors to thrive in their businesses.

He lauded Adeyemo’s prowess for his contribution towards the development of the State through his company and expressed government readiness to partner with genuine investors.

“I am sure His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, would be very much willing to receive you when you are ready, he will happily receive you and your team.

“To see young guy like you doing this wonderful things shows that our future is bright for Nigeria.

“In Ogun State, we take the lead positively in Nigeria, when you talk about any profession, people tend to envy us, we are seen as number one, and we have the highest number bod tertiary institutions in the country.

“On a personal note, I am happy with what Adeyemo is doing particularly here in Ogun state.

“We want to help our youth to do what they like doing best but positively. We have trained so many of our youths, and some have even created App. We have some of them that have been recruited abroad.
