Oyesile Commiserates with Governor Abiodun, Gbaguraland Over Demise of Oba Bakre

A prominent son of Oja-Agbo area in Gbagura kingdom, Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State, Bolaji Oloyede Oyesile, has commiserated with the entire people of Gbagura and Ogun State as a whole over the demise of the Agura of Gbaguraland, Oba Sabur Babajide Ishola Bakre.

Oba Bakre joined his ancestors on Wednesday night.

The monarch, a retired customs officer ascended the throne of his forebears in 2019 and ruled the kingdom for four years.

Oba Bakre passed on at the age of 61.

Oyesile in his condolence message to the people of Gbaguraland described the demise of the monarch as a rude shock and a huge loss to Ogun State.

Oyesile, who is popularly known as BJ, also commiserated with Governor Dapo Abiodun, Gbagura Chiefs, Agura community and the State as a whole.

He described Oba Bakre as “a quintessential monarch, a man of peace and a passionate supporter of development.”

“There is no doubt that your reign brought peace, unity and development to Gbaguraland.

“Oba Bakre served his people and the State diligently and kept faith with his people. He will be remembered for his love for his people.

“He was a revered monarch who was loved and cherished by his people. His legacies will forever loved in the hearts of the people”, Oyesile said.
