One dies in lone accident on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

One person has died in a lone accident involving a Nissan pickup before interchange on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Friday.

Mr Ahmed Umar, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun , confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta.

Umar said that the crash occurred at 2:30am and was caused by excessive speed and loss of control, saying that the deceased was trapped inside the vehicle before he lost his life.

He said that the deceased was deposited at the morgue of Idera hospital, Sagamu.

The sector commander explained that the crushed vehicle marked AA 240 ZY had towed off the road .

Umar cautioned motorists on speed violation especially this period of high vehicular movement.

He commiserated with the family of the crash victim and enjoined them to contact FRSC s
Sagamu for more information about the crash.

He advised motorists to drive cautiously obey traffic rules and regulations.
