The Ogun State People’s Democratic Party PDP youths leader Olasunkami Oyejide has boasted that all the youths in Ogun had agreed to support PDP in the 2023 general election.
Oyejide said this on Friday, during the 1,000 youth victory walk, registered as part of Hon. Ladi Adebutu’s campaign flags off, held at the Ake palace Abeokuta the state capital.
He disclosed that all the youth in Ogun state have agreed and supported voting out the incumbent governor of the state, Dapo Abiodun, adding that, the turn-up of the youths for the walk was clear evidence that Gov. Abiodun has failed the youths.
“As you all know, If you want to win any election there is one particular constituency that has to be on the south side, and today the youth constituency has demonstrated PDP and love, and they are all ready to support PDP, in Ogun state”.
“We have agreed within ourselves, to support PDP, in 2023, we are going to organise a kind of youth summit across the local government to bring back development”.
Meanwhile, the party spokesperson, Asiwaju Bankole Akinloye argued that no doubt, the walk was clear evidence that the youth and everyone have shown their readiness to bring back PDP into government come 2023.
He added the party will continue mobilising people and will continue to engage and sensitise good people in Ogun state to partner with the party, to make sure that the state is rescued from the shackle of darkness that Gov. Abiodun led administration brought to people.
Akinloye urged the public to go and collect their PVC, positing that it is only the most formidable Democratic tool which can be used to form a progressive government in 2023.
