In furtherance to the enhancement of infrastructural projects for a better society, the Ogun State Government in collaboration with the World Bank has assured to assist Community Development Associations (CDAs) in the State through its ‘COVID-19 Recovery and Economic Stimulus recurrent projects.
Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat gave this assurance while featuring on a personality programme in Abeokuta, saying the projects which would commence soon was aimed at assisting CDAs and fast tracking completion of community projects across the 20 Local Government Areas in the State.
Hamzat who listed the projects to include boreholes, road rehabilitation and construction, electrification, among others, noted that in spite of the global economic recession, the government would not relent in its efforts at ensuring the wellbeing of its citizenry.
He pointed out that in the previous years, the Ministry had given grant -in-aid to CDAs and Cooperative Societies, first phase of the World Bank Assisted Project through Community and Social Development Agency which cut across six Local Governments Areas, among others, adding that more projects would be provided for the people.
He urged all and sundry to cooperate with the government in it strive to take the State to a greater height.
