Ogun to improve standard in technical schools

The Executive Secretary of Ogun State Technical and Vocational Education Board, (OGSTVEB), Mr. Olubori Akinleye has underscored the importance of monitoring activities as an important tool to improve the quality and standard of Technical colleges across the State.

Olubori stated this while addressing the staffers of the Board, during the New year prayer session at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noting that effective monitoring of schools was essential in the bid to attaining greater standard and engender discipline, as well as promote the overall vision of the State’s technical schools.

      He disclosed that, monitoring exercise would commence in earnest with adequate machinery put in place, charging officers to be fully committed, exhibit good conduct, redefine themselves and be upright as well as add value to the agency.

OGSTVEB boss reiterated that, the watchword of the Board is peace and unity which would engender good working relationship, admonishing senior officers to pass required knowledge and skills to their subordinates.

“The management is putting in place all efforts to take OGSTVEB forward, through training and re-training of staff, provision of more conducive offices, getting additional office equipment and necessary amenities in our work place. All these will be put in place to motivate our staff, to further enhance productivity”, he said.

Responding, the Deputy Executive Secretary in the agency, Mrs. Mojisola Adenowo, implored the members of staff to be submissive to their superior officers, discharge their duties diligently and encourage team work, while the Director of Administration and Supplies, Miss Funmilayo Oshodi, admonished the officers to be punctual, dress corporately and be of good conduct.

On behalf of others, Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Adedapo promised that they would imbibe discipline, promote love and uphold the tenet of productivity, appreciating the management team for their continued support, towards improving their output for optimal productivity.
