Ogun state government has lauded Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), for its continuous interventions in higher institutions of learning, which has boosted academic performance among students.
The state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun gave the commendation, while playing host to members of the House of Representatives Committee on Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) and other Services, led by its Chairman, Hon. Mariam Onuoha, who were in the state on an oversight function.
Represented by his Deputy, Engr. “Ogun is the education capital of Nigeria and has a long-standing history of superlative educational legacies alongside achievements of its citizenry. The pro-activeness of the House Committee towards fast-tracking the process of retrieving the allocated but not yet accessed TETFUND interventions for Higher Institutions in the state domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria, is commendable”, the governor said.
He informed that his administration placed importance on its Education sector, noting that accessing the funds by institutions would go a long way in improving teaching and learning, as well as training and development of human resources.
Earlier in her remarks, Hon.
