Ogun government, on Monday, said it would ensure massive infrastructural development in primary and secondary schools across the state.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, stated this while monitoring resumption of schools across the state for the 2022-2023 academic session.
Arigbabu explained that he and his team had gone round to monitor the level of preparedness, as schools resumed the new academic session.
He said that the visit was to ascertain the infrastructure needed to be put in place by the state government.
The commissioner pointed out that some of the schools had forwarded records of their infrastructural data to his ministry, stressing it was necessary for government to find out what should be done in some of the schools.
Arigbabu, who stated that government was committed to the revitalisation of the education sector, added that education remained the bedrock of any country.
“l want to encourage all learners to be of good conduct. I am impressed with the level of readiness in the schools,” he said.
Other schools visited in Ijebu axis included: Molipa High School, Our Saviour Anglican Primary School, Italowajoda, Wesley Primary School as well as Moslem Primary and Comprehensive High School, Ijebu-Ode.
The team also visited Agunbiade Victory High School, Abeokuta.
