A former governorship candidate in Ogun state on the platform of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) in 2015 and Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 2019, Otunba Rotimi Paseda, on Monday threw his weight behind the governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Biyi Otegbeye.

Paseda described Otegbeye, a governorship candidate of ADC in the 2023 general elections, as a brilliant, experience and someone who had prepared for the task ahead.

He refuted the rumours making around that he had joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), saying that he had resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has not joined another political party.

Paseda hinted that the present governor of the state, Dapo Abiodun, had performed badly and would do everything within his power to ensure he does not return for the second term.

“Governor. Abiodun is a careless son of a careful God. He is an accidental governor,” he said.

“I believe Otegbeye will do what I would have done, so i’m giving him my full support,” he said.

On the 2023 presidential election, Paseda noted that there was nothing wrong with a Muslim – Muslim ticket, saying that the country only needed people with capacity and integrity.

Paseda noted that Bola Tinubu remained the best presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.
