The Management of Penpushing Media Ltd, the publishers of Penpushing Online Newspaper and TV on Tuesday, donated a brand new television set to the Executives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun state council.
In his speech after the donation of the electronics gadget at the council secretariat in Abeokuta, the founder of the organization, Mr Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji explained that the donation remained a gesture of gratitude for what he personally had achieved through the Union over the years.
“I love Journalism, and I have kways being saying this, that whatever little success I have in journalism, I cannot detach NUJ from it, because journalism is in my blood and if I have opportunity to come again into this world, I will choose to be a journalist. If there is an opportunity in heaven to practice journalism, I continue as a journalist.
“This is a token on behalf of the Editorial board and Management of Penpushing Media Worldwide, and we promise that we will still do better at the appropriate time. Once again, on behalf of the board I am presenting this token as a support for the union”, he said
Responding to the kind gesture, the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju , appreciated the Management of Penpushing Media Ltd, saying that that the gesture would serve as a pointer to others who would want to assist the council.
He added that the donation was the first of it’s kind from its member and leader in the Union, saying that members should also cultivate the habit to give back to the Union as it could not leave everything to outsiders alone.
“This gueture is one of a kind. A rare feat from within our fold. No one would have ever believe that one of us would remember us, especially when the union is known to always going out for assistance” the chairman added
