MAPOLY 1996-2001 set inaugurates pioneer executive members

Members of the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY )Abeokuta, 1996-2001 set of Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS) have inaugurated pioneer executive committee members to run the affairs of the alumni association

The newly Inaugurated executives committee include Ayani Oluwakemi serving as president, to be assisted by two vice presidents ,Osifowora Olutunbosun and Aina Ademola who is in charge of members in diaspora

Other members of the executive are Orunsola Olufemi (General Secretary), Alabi Abimbola (Assistant General Secretary), Olusoga Olugbenga (Director of Finance), Taiwo Olusegun (Assistant Director of Finance), Sobande Abdulfatai (Director of Communications), as well as Olayinka Olasimbo (Director of Socials) and Onajoko Oluronke (Director of Welfare)

President of the pioneer executive committee of AMACOS 96-2001 set , Ayani Oluwakemi after the inauguration, unveiled her three-point agenda for the association which focuses on membership engagement, association growth and community impact

On membership engagement, she said that priority would be given to building strong relationships with members, listening to their concerns, and delivering value-added services that meet their needs.

She stressed that her tenure would also focus on strategic planning, process improvement, and resource development to position the association for long-term success and actualization of the needed growth

For the alumni set to make meaningful community impact on its alma-mata, Oluwakemi emphasized the association
would always amplify its voice on critical issues, forge partnerships with key stakeholders, and deliver initiatives that make a tangible difference in the community.

The highly elated president who expressed her deepest appreciation to every member of association for trust and confidence reposed in her leadership, charged other members of the executive committee to see their election as unique opportunity to drive positive change, and leave a lasting legacy for members

“I pledge to work collaboratively with each of you, to listen to your ideas, and to empower you to take ownership of your portfolios”

” Together, we will foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and open communication”, she assured

“Let us work together to achieve greatness”

“Let us be bold, innovative, and inclusive”.

“Let us show our members, and ourselves what we are capable of achieving when we collaborate, when we support each other, and when we strive for excellence*, the president charged

Also speaking at the event, the electoral committee led by its Chairman, Muyiwa Omotola and Secretary, Adeola Fawehinmi appreciated members of the alumni set for the understanding and opportunity given to the committee to conduct successful election which produced pioneer executive committee

The electoral committee then tasked the newly Inaugurated executives to rise up to the challenge of providing purposeful leadership for the association

“We wish the newly elected executives success as they settle down to steer the wheels of our noble association on the right course as we humbly crave the co-operation of our members as we serve as the spine for the success.
Long live 96/01 set, long live AMACOS, long live MAPOLY.”, the committee stated

A total of 72 member in Nigeria, United Kingdom, United States and other part of the world participated in the historic election
